All exhibitors must complete the Health & Safety and Nameboard forms by 14 April. Any exhibitor who has not completed the nameboard form by the deadline will be provided with their company name as stated on the exhibition contract.
All shell scheme wall panels will be constructed of a plywood covered timber frame and painted white. The shell scheme is 2.44m high. Stands on the end of a row will have two open sides (as per the image below); stands within a row will have one open side.
No items are to be fixed to, or suspended from, the fascia batten as this could affect the structural integrity of the stand. Please follow these do’s and don’ts if you wish to attach materials to your Shell Scheme stand walls. There will be a charge of £150 per panel for damage done to the shell scheme if these attaching methods aren’t followed. Any screws and nails used should be fixed to the internal battens of the wall panels. Click here for details.
All materials attached to your stand must be removed before you leave the stand at the end of the show.
The internal measurements of your stand will be slightly less than the stand space you have booked, which includes the thickness of the shell walls. If you are planning to construct anything, or have any large items, within your shell scheme stand you will need to allow for this. Please refer to the Space Only section of this manual for information on permitted construction materials.
A white nameboard (1000mm wide x 150mm high), with black lettering, will be attached to your fascia batten. It will show your company name and stand number. Please complete the Nameboard Form by 14 April. There will be a charge of £10 per board for any amendments made on site.
If you require lighting or power on your stand please complete the Electical Package - Shell Scheme Stands Order Form which can be found in the Order Forms section of this manual. Orders should be placed by 14 April.
Power consumption: generally a 500w socket is suitable for using laptops, charging mobile phones or powering a small TV. For an accurate measure of the wattage required by your appliance please refer to its manual.
PAT testing: items other than laptops and mobile phone chargers should be PAT tested, and labelled as such.
The electricity network should generally be regarded as being "live". The power to stands in the Assembly Hall will be switched on 30 minutes before show opening each morning and turned off at the close of the show each day. On the final open day (Friday 17 April) the power to the Assembly Hall stands will be switched off 15 minutes after the show closes. Power to other stands may be switched off each night.
The flooring of your stand will be the normal venue flooring in your stand’s room. No additional flooring will be laid.
All Shell Scheme exhibitors must read the Site Induction and complete and return the Health & Safety Form by 14 April. In order to understand any risks involved please complete a risk assessment for the duration of the exhibition (to include build-up and breakdown). You do not need to submit this to the organisers. Please ensure you read the Health & Safety section of this manual in full.
